Customer Testimonials"This 3 year old tom fell to a Double M custom slate over glass the first day I took it to the field. I was very impressed with the craftsmanship, realistic sound and how easy the call is to play. After one hunt, made a permanent spot in my vest for a Double M!" Greg Gershner - Springdale, Arkansas

I got my first Double M Custom turkey caller quite by chance. I entered an online contest where my new found friend Mike Moody donated one of his hand made slate callers as the prize, and I WON! >Boy did I; when the caller arrived in my mailbox, I tore into the box like a kid on Xmas. And when I saw the striped wood and smooth round slate, I knew I had indeed hit the jackpot. And the striker....I had never seen anything quite like it[with it's acorn on the top] and when I belted out my first yelps on it, I realized it would be the perfect addition to my arsenal of turkey huntiung tools. From soft purrs, to flydown cackles, to demanding loud yelps, this sweet prize was gonna get a lot of attention, from the wiley gobbler, to those of my inner circle of friends who curiously check the items I have on display in my home, attesting to my love of the sport. Thanks Mike, for being a craftsman, and turkey hunter! John Stiles - Leola, Arkansas |
Hi Mike,
I got the call, today, and I wanted to give you my opinion of it. The call is quite pretty!! I actually like the Shedua, as it has a pretty grain, and looks rather ominous with the dark aluminum surface. It fits my hand perfectly. However, when I began to play it, that's when I REALLY raised my eyebrows!!
The sounds that I made, with the call, were nothing short of amazing!!! I couldn't get over the volume that it had, and a "smooth rasp" sound that demanded attention!! The cuts were sharp and the purrs were seductive. I had to really ease up to get it to tone down a little. It will undoubtedly reach out and demand a response!!
So, by now, you realize that I'm REALLY satisfied with the call. IT ROCKS!!! You were sooooo right about the surface sounding good. That was an understatement on your part, my friend.
Now, the striker is absolutely "eye candy". It's gorgeous. My wife thought it was too pretty to use. NOT !!!
You and I will be discussing another call (probably Leopardwood) in the not-to-distant future. In the meantime, rest assured, I will be promoting your work and, now, have an excellent example to display to friends and peers.
Thanks again for making me such a fine call.
Take care,

Mike,
As I promised, here are a couple of photos of the first bird that I killed
using your calls. I love the bead blasted anodized aluminum for yelping and
clucking and the glass for purring and yelping with a raspier tone. Called
up two gobblers and passed on the first so that I could take this 11 1/8",
slightly double bearded, 22 lb, 1 1/8" spurs Tom.
I love your work and highly recommend your calls to any serious turkey
hunter, at least with Eastern birds.
Sweet talking---stops the walking!!!!!

Got this one at 12:47 Monday. Watched him and 2 others fly down with 8 hens. Not a single gobble until 12:15 when 3 other gobblers came into the field and started fighting. This guy wanted no part of the fighting but some excited cutting and jake yelping got him to come over and give me a look.
